Frequently Asked Questions

How do I install a Nexus Codex visual?

Nexus Codex visuals are available through Microsoft AppSource. To install:

  1. Open your report in Power BI Desktop or the Power BI Service.
  2. In the Visualizations pane, click the ellipsis (...) and select "Get more visuals".
  3. Search for the visual name or "Nexus Codex" in the AppSource marketplace.
  4. Click "Add" to install the visual into your report.

Alternatively, visit Microsoft AppSource directly and search for Nexus Codex.

How does licensing work?

Nexus Codex visuals are licensed at $1.99 USD per user per month. Licensing is managed entirely through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center -- your organisation's IT administrator can assign and manage licenses from there.

For billing inquiries, your Microsoft 365 administrator can view subscription details in the Admin Center under Billing > Your products.

Which Power BI environments are supported?

All Nexus Codex visuals are compatible with:

  • Power BI Desktop -- Windows application
  • Power BI Service -- Web-based reports and dashboards

Our visuals are built using the Power BI Visuals SDK and follow Microsoft's certification standards for broad compatibility.

Do your visuals support high contrast mode?

Yes. All Nexus Codex visuals support Power BI's high contrast colour schemes to ensure accessibility compliance. High contrast mode is automatically detected and applied when enabled in your Power BI settings.

Do your visuals send data outside Power BI?

No. Nexus Codex visuals process and render data entirely within the Power BI environment. No data is transmitted to external servers, no network requests are made, and no cookies or tracking technologies are used. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

A visual is not rendering correctly. What should I do?

If a visual is not displaying as expected, try the following steps:

  1. Verify that you have assigned the correct data fields to each field well.
  2. Check that your data types are correct (e.g., numeric fields for measures).
  3. Try removing and re-adding the visual to the report canvas.
  4. Update to the latest version of Power BI Desktop.
  5. Clear your browser cache if using the Power BI Service.

If the issue persists, contact us at [email protected] with a description of the problem, the visual name, and your Power BI version.
